This eight month program will teach you to confidently use herbs and food to nourish your body for optimal health and feel empowered to use herbs in your home for everyday ailments and overall well being.

All content will be available to you upon enrollment.  You have the option to purchase the herbs for the Medicine Making module of the course.  In-person learning is also an option from May-October.  You can choose to visit Bear Roots once per month to gain valuable hands-on experience working with the plants.

This one year program will provide you with a strong background in herbal medicine and nutrition.  It will empower you with the knowledge and confidence to approach health holistically and systematically, so you can build and support your own health, and be a person your community can rely on to support their health and wellbeing.

Growing your own food and medicine is so empowering for you and your family!  In this course, you will learn how to design & build a medicinal herb garden using sustainable, regenerative gardening practices starting from seed all the way to harvest.   Included in the course are 19 plant profiles which include their growing information as well as their medicinal benefits. 

This is a go at your own pace, online course.  To receive a certificate of completion you will need to complete one assignment.

This online course will teach you the nutritional and medicinal benefits of over 30 wild plants based on each foraging season.  You will also learn ethical harvesting practices, simple botany, medicine making and herbal First Aid.
